Golden Traces and Silent Connections – Seoul & Geoje 2025

Golden Traces & Connection

Two worlds, one exhibition: While Golden Traces transforms movement into dissolution, Connection captures a moment of absolute stillness. The two works share more than meets the eye.

The exhibition

Since the beginning of October, our works have been exhibited as part of the 11th Geoje International Art Festival – first at the Kim Boseong Art Center in Seoul, then at the Haegeumgang Theme Museum in Geoje. The festival brings together 395 artists from 60 countries under the theme "Blooming Art" (꽃피는 예술).

The opening on October 1st was extraordinary: In addition to the visual art, there was live music, including classical instruments and operatic singing. This combination of painting and music creates a unique atmosphere.

Unfortunately, we cannot be there in person, but the idea of visitors wandering between the two works – from the explosive gold of the crane to the quiet presence of horse and man – fills us with anticipation.

Golden Traces – Daniel Heinz
Acrylic painting of a crane (bird) with black paint splashes and golden accents on white and blue flowers.
92.5 × 143.8 cm | Acrylic on canvas | 2025

The concept

The crane disintegrates – its plumage explodes into golden particles, black lines drip downwards, white blossoms rise up. Not a frozen pose – a process.

The gold is crucial: invisible without light, it transforms with light. But not statically. As you walk past the painting, the gold glows, fades, glows again. Each of your steps creates a new composition.

Exhibition view of an art gallery (museum) with seven different acrylic paintings (portrait, crane, bull, flowers).

The experience

It feels as if your movement itself is a drop. As if every step leaves a trace. You walk by, and your presence completes the picture – or rewrites it.

The gold particles react physically to changes in light – your shadow, your movement, the angle: everything affects what you see. The artwork is only complete when you move in front of it.

Connection – Gulnara Heinz
Painting of a woman and a brown horse in a meadow with goldfinches, with a light blue sky in the background.
115.8 × 75 cm | Acrylic on canvas | 2025

The concept

Connection is a quiet but powerful moment between a woman and a horse – two beings who do not communicate through words, but through presence and gaze.

Painted in acrylic with fine brushes, built up layer by layer, the work exudes tranquility and intimate precision. The composition unfolds in a field of undulating wheat, enlivened by fluttering goldfinches and delicate wildflowers. These elements evoke not only nature, but also an inner blossoming – subtle, quiet, yet unmistakable.

Exhibition view of an art gallery with nine different acrylic paintings (woman with horse, flowers, abstract).

The woman's gaze – direct, open, almost knowing – meets the world with profound presence. This is not a portrait in the classical sense, but a state of connection.

The work invites the viewer to enter a world where trust weighs more than words – and silence speaks louder than sound.

Best Artist Award

Gulnara Heinz received the Best Artist Award at the 11th Geoje International Art Festival for her work "Connection ." The jury recognized her ability to make a moment of universal connection visible through precise painting and sensitive composition.

Certificate and Acrylic Award Best Artist Award for Gulnara Heinz at the Gejoje International Art Festival 2025.

The award confirms what the work conveys: that true communication takes place beyond language – in the space between two beings who truly see each other.

Two works, one dialogue

While Golden Traces celebrates dissolution and movement, Connection captures the essence of a single, extended moment. One explodes, the other breathes. Together they reveal two facets of artistic presence: the energy of transformation and the power of silence.

Thanks to
