Artist Statement
My name is Daniel Heinz, a painter from Leipzig. My work stems from a childlike longing to connect with animals – an inner impulse to paint them so that they inhabit the space around us.
Inspired by my mother's porcelain painting and Aivazovsky's The Ninth Wave, I trained as a glass and porcelain painter. The precision of applying paint in layers became the foundation of my artistic language.
Today I combine this craft with spontaneous gestures using palette knives, brushes, and flowing paint. Structure and expression meet where control meets freedom, and intimacy meets distance.
My aim is not to depict animals as symbols, but to encounter them as independent beings – counterparts with their own life force. Through the dialogue of detail and movement, a "breathing stillness" emerges in each image – surfaces that unite wild dynamism with the measured slowness of traditional craftsmanship.
No symbols. No decoration. But presences that claim their space on the canvas, just as they do in life.

Wladimir Heinz – hobby carpenter and silent supporter
Wladimir Heinz, a trained carpenter, provides us with stretcher frames within a family setting , ensuring the perfect foundation for each painting. Despite a serious illness, he devotes himself to the selection and processing of materials as a hobby craftsman – thus creating art that not only looks beautiful but also lasts.
We value natural materials such as wood, canvas, natural stone, wax, and high-quality paints. From the self-made stretcher frame to the final brushstroke, each work is lovingly handcrafted—no printing, no mass production.
Whether you want to buy modern acrylic art or have a custom portrait created, we will create a piece that's perfect for you.
